WORK TO COMMENCE ON ORMSKIRK BRIDGE!
RAILWAY ROAD WILL BE CLOSED.
NOT THE BRIDGE!
Please find attached details of a proposed temporary continuous road closure on Railway Road, Ormskirk, along with the associated one way system reversal on Moor Street, Ormskirk, from Monday 10th June until Monday 31st March to enable works to be undertaken on Derby Street Bridge by Lancashire County Council.
If you have any comments or observations regarding the closure please contact the LCC contact indicated in the attached closure details or email lhsstreetworks@lancashire.gov.uk by Thursday 16th May 2024.
I find it a coincidence that my Freedom of Information Request (FOI) asking about the Bridge inspections that have been done in the last 10 years and lack of any work taking place which I received on 2nd April 2024 and suddenly work is commencing.
I have asked for an officer to talk me through what exactly they are going to be doing to support the bridge and as usual I will update you as soon as I know anything.
Drive carefully
Nikki
